A full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) position is available in an after-school program setting located in La Mesa, CA. This contract role offers 32 hours per week with a consistent schedule from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The LVN will provide essential nursing support across multiple school sites within the district, managing a variety of medical needs among a diverse pediatric population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care to students in the after-school program, addressing health needs as they arise.
• Float between district locations to support different schools, ensuring continuous medical coverage.
• Monitor and manage routine and emergency health situations in accordance with school policies.
• Collaborate closely with school staff and families to support student well-being.
• Maintain accurate health records and comply with all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in California.
• Pediatric and school nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in pediatric care and the ability to manage common school-related health conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school personnel.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a school healthcare team.
