Job Description
A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) position is available to support a kindergarten student near Apopka, FL. This opportunity involves providing dedicated 1:1 nursing care within a school setting, ensuring the student's health and safety throughout the school day. The nurse will start immediately and work from 8 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities include:
- Administering and monitoring G-tube feedings
- Observing and managing oral aversions
- Assisting with toileting needs
- Collaborating closely with a teacher, ESE paraprofessional, behavior specialist, and school health assistant to provide comprehensive support in the classroom
- Participating in student transportation by riding the bus to and from school with the student, with parking at home for convenience
Qualifications and experience:
- Current LPN or LVN license with school nursing experience preferred
- Ability to provide specialized care such as G-tube management within a classroom environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively coordinate with educational and behavioral staff
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel with the student via bus
