Job Description

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) are needed to provide healthcare support within the K-12 school environment in the Jacksonville, FL area. These on-site roles will be part-time with potential for full-time assignments depending on district needs. The positions involve working directly with students in varied school settings including elementary, middle, and high schools.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide health care support in the school health room to students from diverse age groups
  • Respond to varying medical needs that arise throughout the school day
  • Assist with routine screenings, medication administration, and first aid as required
  • Collaborate with school staff to maintain a safe, healthy learning environment
  • Participate in orientation and training prior to the start of assignment, typically held at the district office

Qualifications:

  • Active Florida LPN license in good standing
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current CPR and BLS certification
  • Prior experience in a school setting preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, staff, and families
