A full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) position is available to provide dedicated nursing support within a school setting in Houston, TX. This contract role offers an opportunity to work closely with a student requiring specialized care, including tube feeding, suctioning, and oxygen monitoring. The assignment is expected to last approximately 10-12 weeks, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one nursing care to a student with complex medical needs
- Perform tube feeding, suctioning, and oxygen level monitoring accurately and compassionately
- Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to ensure the students safety and well-being
- Maintain detailed health records and monitor the students condition throughout the school day
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing, especially with medical procedures like tube feeding and suctioning
- Ability to work onsite at a school location in Houston, TX
- Clear background checks including district fingerprints and drug screening
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a school environment
Location and Schedule:
- Houston, TX (one school location to be determined within the area)
- Full-time, approximately 37.5 hours per week
- Contract position through late May 2026
