Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care for a middle school student in Hummelstown, PA during a maternity leave assignment. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting a student's health and safety throughout the school day in an educational setting.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one nursing care to a middle school student throughout the school day.
- Monitor and assess the student for seizure activity and respond according to the student's individualized care plan.
- Administer and monitor oxygen therapy as ordered.
- Observe, document, and communicate changes in the student's condition.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents/guardians, and the supervising Registered Nurse to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation in accordance with school policies and state regulations.
- Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience with seizure monitoring and oxygen administration preferred.
Schedule
- MondayFriday
- School-day hours (no nights, weekends, or major holidays)
- Temporary assignment from late September through December (dates subject to change based on maternity leave timing)
