An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) seeking to make a positive impact in an educational setting. This onsite role supports students and provides essential health services across two school locations, just minutes apart, near Hanover, PA. The assignment runs from August 19, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with a 35-hour work week.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted PA LPN license required
- Experience working with children or in school nursing preferred
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and caseloads
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to support students with specialized needs, such as spina bifida and diabetes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to the school nurse, assisting with daily health office operations and routine student medical care
- Deliver substitute one-on-one (1:1) or PCA support for up to three students when needed: two students with spina bifida and one with diabetes
- Rotate between two school sites (within 10 minutes of each other) as needed, based on district priorities and student coverage requirements
- Maintain accurate health records, administer medications, and respond to student health needs promptly
