Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a medically fragile student within a school setting in Longmont, CO. This full-time contract position offers the chance to provide dedicated nursing care to a 16-year-old female student requiring one-on-one support.

Location: Niwot High School, Longmont, CO
Position Type: Full-time contract (37.5 hours/week)
Assignment Duration: ASAP through May 21, 2026

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to a medically fragile adolescent in a one-on-one setting
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school protocols
  • Monitor the students health status and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with district and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with school staff, healthcare providers, and family members to support the students health and educational needs
  • Adhere to all school district policies, including fingerprinting and drug screening requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and active LPN license required
  • Previous experience working as an LPN in school or pediatric healthcare settings preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with medically fragile students and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, staff, and families
  • Willingness to complete district fingerprinting and drug screening as part of credentialing
