Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Massachusetts LPN license required
- Previous experience providing nursing care to pediatric populations highly preferred
- Background working in educational or school environments is beneficial
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
- Organized, responsible, and compassionate approach to student care
What Youll Do:
- Administer prescribed medication and monitor health conditions of elementary school students
- Respond to student health needs, including illness and injury, as they arise during the school day
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with state and school guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote health and wellness
- Support daily health office functionsincluding first aid, triage, and communicating with guardians about student needs
- Educate students and staff about healthy habits and safe practices as appropriate
