This full-time, onsite contract opportunity offers you a chance to work closely with a student requiring one-on-one attention, helping to ensure their safety and well-being throughout the school day. What Youll Need:
- Current and valid Minnesota LPN license
- Prior experience in pediatric nursing, trach care, or a school environment is highly valued
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and compassionate in a dynamic educational setting
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and promoting student dignity and independence
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one-on-one care for a student with a tracheostomy throughout the school day
- Monitor vital signs and respond swiftly to any health concerns or emergencies
- Administer prescribed medications and perform required nursing procedures per established protocols
- Communicate student needs and progress with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate health records and daily documentation
- Support the student in accessing the school curriculum and participating fully in school activities
