Job Description

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with school-based experience, youll play a vital role in care coordination and daily health support near Elk Grove, CA.

Assignment Details:

  • School setting at an elementary campus
  • Academic year: August 6th through May 27th
  • Schedule:
    • Tuesday to Friday, 9:20 AM3:35 PM
    • Monday minimum days, 9:20 AM12:50 PM

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active California LVN/LPN license
  • CPR certification (current and valid)
  • Prior experience working as a nurse in a school environment preferred
  • Familiarity with pediatric or adolescent care
  • Strong communication skills for student, staff, and parent interactions
  • Proven reliability and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary educational team
  • Skills in routine medication administration and responding to medical emergencies
  • Comfortable maintaining accurate and timely documentation

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing services to students during the school day
  • Support students health needs, including medication management and assistance with chronic conditions
  • Respond promptly to minor injuries and emergent situations
  • Maintain confidential health records in accordance with school protocols
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure coordinated care for students
  • Contribute to a safe, healthy, and inclusive school environment
  • Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development as needed
