Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the health and well-being of students in an elementary school setting. This contract position runs for the current school year and is located in Elk Grove, CA.

The LPN will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and healthy school environment by providing essential nursing care, health screenings, and emergency response. Collaborating with school staff and families, the nurse ensures that students receive appropriate health services to support their academic success and overall development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with healthcare plans and school policies
  • Conduct routine health screenings and document findings accurately
  • Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
  • Maintain confidential health records and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers
  • Educate students on basic health and hygiene practices to promote wellness
  • Assist in managing chronic health conditions among students

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current and valid LPN license
  • Experience working with children in a school or pediatric healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and observational skills
  • Ability to establish rapport with students, staff, and families
  • Understanding of school health policies and procedures

Location: Elk Grove, CA - Elementary School
Contract Length: Current School Year (CSY)
