A full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) position is available in a school setting located in El Cajon, CA. This contract role offers a 32-hour workweek, with hours from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, supporting the after-school program. The LVN will float throughout the district, providing care for various medical needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care and support to students within multiple school environments
- Manage and respond to a range of pediatric medical issues during the after-school program
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure student health and safety
- Maintain accurate health records and comply with school health policies
- Provide education and support to students and staff regarding health-related concerns
Qualifications:
- Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in California required
- Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
- Prior school nursing experience highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt and provide care across different school settings within the district
Location:
- El Cajon, California (travel within the school district required)
