Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current LPN or LVN license in the state of Minnesota
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care is highly desirable
- Ability to respond effectively to student health needs, including emergency response
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families
- Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification
- Capacity to maintain accurate health records and handle confidential information responsibly
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and health assessments for students throughout the school day
- Develop and implement care plans for students with chronic conditions or acute health needs
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physicians orders and school policy
- Educate students, staff, and families on health and wellness practices
- Monitor and document health data and respond to communicable disease concerns
- Support a safe, inclusive, and positive school environment through attentive healthcare services
- Collaborate with other educational professionals and healthcare providers
