Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and unencumbered LPN/LVN license in Minnesota
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact with students, staff, and parents
- Skilled in basic nursing procedures such as medication administration, wound care, and first aid
- Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and healthcare plans a plus
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet a variety of student health needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver routine and emergency nursing care to students during school hours
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with regulations
- Educate students and staff on hygiene, chronic condition management, and wellness practices
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to coordinate care plans
- Respond promptly to health concerns, providing assessment and professional judgment
- Participate in school health screenings and immunization tracking
