A full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) position is available in a school setting located in Desert Hot Springs, CA. This role involves providing dedicated one-on-one nursing support to students, requiring specialized skills in tracheostomy care and assistance during bus transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized 1:1 nursing care to students with complex medical needs
- Perform tracheostomy care to ensure student safety and health
- Support students during bus transport, providing necessary medical assistance
- Collaborate with educational staff to monitor and document student health status
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and families
Qualifications:
- Current and valid LVN/LPN license
- Experience providing school-based nursing, especially with trach care
- Strong understanding of pediatric nursing and student health management
- Ability to work independently and manage 1:1 nursing responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
