Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in a vibrant elementary school setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners and staff, providing essential healthcare support on campus.
Assignment runs from August 6th to May 27th, with an adjusted schedule on Mondays for minimum days. Regular hours are 9:20 AM to 3:35 PM Tuesday through Friday, and 9:20 AM to 12:50 PM on Mondays.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active LVN/LPN License in the state of California
- Previous experience in a pediatric, school, or community health setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and first aid skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and compassionate nursing care to students in accordance with individualized health plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and first aid as needed during the school day
- Collaborate with educators, families, and external healthcare providers to promote student wellness
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records and documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
- Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies or health concerns on campus
- Promote a safe and healthy school environment through health education and prevention initiatives
