A full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) position is available in the Cypress, TX area to support a student in a school setting. This temporary contract role will run from ASAP through late May, approximately 10 to 12 weeks, providing essential health services to a one-to-one student assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care including tube feeding, suctioning, and oxygen monitoring for a student
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure health and safety needs are met throughout the school day
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
- Adhere to all school district protocols and health policies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current LVN license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing
- Experience working in pediatric or school nursing environments
- Ability to manage complex medical needs such as enteral feeding and respiratory support
- Completion of district-required fingerprinting and drug screening for credentialing
- Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate with educators and healthcare providers
Location: Cypress, Texas (school location within the district to be confirmed)
