Youll collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to ensure students receive quality care during the school day. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping children maintain wellness, manage chronic conditions, and thrive in an educational setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current, active LPN or LVN license in California
- Previous experience working in a school, pediatric, or community health setting preferred
- Solid understanding of child development, immunizations, and standard nursing protocols
- Exceptional communication and documentation skills
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in urgent situations
- Compassionate attitude and a passion for supporting youth
Role Responsibilities:
- Administer medications, treatments, and minor first aid according to doctors orders and school policies
- Perform student screenings, immunization documentation, and daily health assessments
- Cooperate with staff on care plans for students with chronic illnesses or special medical needs
- Maintain accurate, confidential health records in compliance with regulations
- Educate students and staff about healthy habits, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Respond to daily health concerns or emergencies with professionalism and care
