Job Description
A full-time opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care in a kindergarten school setting near Apopka, FL. This contract position offers a unique role supporting a young student with specialized health needs in a collaborative classroom environment alongside a teacher, ESE paraeducator, behavior specialist, and school health assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform G-tube feedings and closely monitor the students condition throughout the school day
- Observe and manage oral aversions and other medical needs
- Assist with toileting and personal care to ensure student comfort and hygiene
- Coordinate transportation by parking at home and accompanying the student on the bus to and from school
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN/LVN license with experience in school nursing preferred
- Ability to deliver compassionate, attentive care for children with medical complexities
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators and support staff
- Reliability to start immediately and commit to a full-time schedule, 8 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday
Location: Near Apopka, Florida
