Providing one-on-one nursing care, this position supports an elementary school setting with professional health services tailored to student needs. The role is ideal for an LPN/LVN with experience in school nursing looking for a contract assignment during the current school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care to a student requiring 1:1 LVN support
- Administer medications and treatments as outlined in healthcare plans
- Monitor and document student health status and communicate effectively with school staff and parents
- Maintain accurate and confidential nursing records
- Respond promptly to health emergencies and provide necessary interventions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with current state licensure
- Prior experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and school personnel
- Ability to follow healthcare protocols and manage emergency situations calmly
