Licensed Vocational Nurse School Setting (Full-Time, Contract) Chula Vista, CA
A full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is needed for a contract position in a school-based setting located in Chula Vista, CA. This role supports an after-school program with a focus on providing comprehensive nursing care to students across multiple schools within the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care and support for various pediatric medical needs within the school environment
- Float between schools, assisting with health assessments, medication administration, and emergency care as required
- Collaborate with school staff, students, and families to promote student health and safety
- Document nursing activities and maintain accurate health records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Support students in after-school programs during the designated hours
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in California
- Experience in pediatric nursing; prior school nursing experience highly preferred
- Ability to effectively manage multiple medical needs in a school environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexible and adaptive to floating between school sites within the district
Schedule and Compensation:
- Full-time, 32 hours per week
- Hours: 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, aligned with after-school program timing
- Competitive hourly rate of $33
