Qualifications/Experience:

  • Current and active LPN or LVN license in Massachusetts
  • Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or similar healthcare environment preferred
  • Ability to assess, monitor, and address student healthcare needs with compassion and expertise
  • Familiarity with paraprofessional support roles in education settings
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Basic computer proficiency for maintaining accurate health records

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments to students as directed by healthcare plans
  • Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries or sudden illnesses occurring during school hours
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and allied professionals to address students individual health needs
  • Maintain and update comprehensive health records in accordance with district and state policies
  • Educate students and staff about health practices, hygiene, and chronic conditions management
  • Support students with special needs, including assistance with daily living activities where necessary
  • Participate in health screening programs, immunization tracking, and health-related school initiatives
