A prominent early childhood education center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) with school health experience to support the well-being of young learners throughout the school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide basic nursing care and health assessments to students, adhering to school health policies and procedures
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed, maintaining accurate records
- Monitor and manage student health concerns, coordinating with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers
- Assist in health screenings and immunization compliance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive nursing office environment suitable for young children
- Participate in health education initiatives and emergency response plans
Qualifications:
- Current LPN/LVN license with credentials valid in Illinois
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric healthcare, preferably in early childhood settings
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff
- Ability to handle confidential health information with discretion and professionalism
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: Contract through the current school year (CSY)
