A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Chattanooga, TN, providing critical healthcare support within a school setting. This contract position, lasting for the current school year (CSY), offers hands-on involvement in student health care tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and health services to students in a general group home/classroom environment.
• Deliver specialized 1:1 support for students requiring advanced medical assistance such as G-tube care, seizure management, and ventilator/tracheostomy support, based on your specific skill set.
• Collaborate with educational and healthcare staff to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all students.
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with staff and families.

Qualifications:

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Tennessee.
• Experience in pediatric nursing or school nursing preferred.
• Ability to respond to various student health needs, including specialized medical equipment and emergency situations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Details:

• Location: Onsite at an elementary school in Chattanooga, TN.
• Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Caseload: Single school assignment with duties adjusted according to individual student health requirements.
