Job Description

A K-12 school in Cathedral City, CA is seeking two experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN/LVN) for long-term substitute assignments within a school district. These contract positions offer the opportunity to provide essential healthcare support to students across multiple school sites throughout the assignment period.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administering medications, managing G-tubes, and caring for tracheostomies
  • Assisting with student transfers and performing toileting or diapering as needed
  • Collaborating with school personnel to support students' health and safety
  • Traveling between multiple sites within the district according to assignment needs

Desired qualifications:

  • Current LPN/LVN license with previous California school nursing experience preferred
  • Active CPR certification required
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are highly preferred
  • Ability to adapt to multiple school environments and varied student healthcare needs
  • COVID-19 vaccination compliance required

This role offers 8-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek schedule on a long-term substitute basis. The position provides professional support through a substitute pool designed to assist nurses with their assignments.
