A licensed practical nurse (LPN) with school experience is needed for a full-time, contract position serving K-12 students in the Robbinsdale area near New Hope, MN. This role offers the opportunity to support a dynamic school district as a float nurse, providing flexible health services across multiple school settings.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care and health services to students in a variety of K-12 schools
- Monitor and manage student health concerns, including medication administration and first aid
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student well-being
- Adapt to a flexible schedule daily, as assignments vary by school and student needs
- Maintain accurate health records and comply with district policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, active LPN/LVN licensure is required upon application
- Previous school nursing experience preferred; new graduates will not be considered
- Ability to work flexibly in a district float capacity, covering various schools as needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and families
- Capacity to manage diverse health situations with professionalism, care, and discretion
