Job Description

A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) opportunity is available in Longmont, CO, supporting a medically fragile 16-year-old student in a school setting. This role is ideal for an LPN with experience in school nursing who is looking to provide one-on-one care within a supportive educational environment. The assignment runs through May 21, 2026, with a start date as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated nursing care to a 1:1 medically fragile student.
  • Monitor and manage the students health condition according to individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments promptly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to support the student's educational and health needs.
  • Maintain proper documentation and comply with district health and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Current LPN license in good standing.
  • Experience with pediatric nursing or school nursing preferred.
  • Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Must pass district-required fingerprinting and drug screening.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a school environment.

Location and Schedule:

  • Position based onsite at Niwot High School in Longmont, CO.
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Contract position lasting until May 21, 2026.
