Job Description

Providing essential nursing care to an elementary school student with specialized medical needs, this role offers a unique opportunity to apply your LPN skills in an educational setting. Working 29 hours per week, your support will directly impact the well-being and educational success of a trach-dependent student requiring 1:1 care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled nursing care to a trach-dependent elementary school student during school hours
  • Monitor respiratory status and manage tracheostomy and ventilator care
  • Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to coordinate care plans
  • Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with relevant protocols
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment tailored to the student's medical needs

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) certification
  • Proven experience managing tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent patients
  • Strong understanding of pediatric nursing within a school setting
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and student safety

Location and Schedule:

  • Position is based in Bellevue, WA area supporting schools in Sumner, Tacoma, and Graham
  • Hours: Monday 10:30 AM 4:00 PM; Tuesday to Friday 9:30 AM 4:00 PM
  • Total scheduled hours: 29 per week
  • Contract role available ASAP through end of the school year
