A rewarding opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to support healthcare services within an Early Childhood educational setting. This temporary contract role is ideal for professionals experienced in school nursing who are dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of young students.
Location: Aurora, Illinois
Duration: Contract School Year (CSY)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and health services to students in an early childhood school environment
- Monitor student health, manage chronic conditions, and respond to emergencies with professionalism and care
- Collaborate with educational staff to implement individualized healthcare plans and promote overall student wellness
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with all applicable health regulations and school policies
- Educate students, families, and staff on health promotion and disease prevention
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
- Experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, families, and school personnel
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in emergency situations
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics
