Job Description

Step into a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference as a Licensed Practical Nurse supporting a student on a 1:1 basis within a dynamic school environment. This contract position is available for an immediate start and extends through late May 2027, offering a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours and in-person engagement.

Your role is integral to a students daily experience, ensuring their health and safety throughout the school dayincluding bus transportation. You'll work closely with education professionals and gain experience in a supportive, collaborative atmosphere.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current and active LPN license in the state of Georgia
  • Previous experience working 1:1 with students or in a school nursing role is highly desirable
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable under changing circumstances
  • Ability and willingness to ride the bus with the student and provide medical support as needed
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, school personnel, and families
  • Reliability and a positive, professional demeanor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct care to a designated student according to their health plan and needs
  • Supervise and monitor the student during bus rides and throughout the school day
  • Administer medications and treatments as outlined in the students care plan
  • Document care and maintain confidential records
  • Serve as a liaison between school staff and families, providing updates as needed
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and changes in student health
