Job Description

A full-semester opportunity is available for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide specialized care in a middle school environment in Arroyo Grande, CA. This role involves supporting an 8th-grade male student with complex eating and emotional disorders on a 1:1 basis. The position requires presence onsite and offers a 32.5-hour workweek with a structured schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized nursing care to a student with complex health needs
  • Monitor and manage health conditions related to eating and emotional disorders
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support the students well-being
  • Participate in the LVN pool to cover urgent needs or other student absences when required
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to school policies and healthcare regulations

Qualifications:

  • Active California LVN license required
  • Experience in mental health nursing highly recommended
  • Male candidates preferred for this position
  • Ability to work effectively in a school setting with students facing complex health challenges
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Location: Arroyo Grande, CA (onsite)

This contract role runs from January 13, 2026, through June 9, 2026, with scheduled hours Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
