A licensed practical nurse (LPN) is needed for a one-on-one position supporting students in a middle and high school setting in Arlington, VA. This contract role extends through June 15, 2026, providing essential nursing care during the school year.

Responsibilities include:

• Seizure monitoring and providing first aid, including administration of seizure rescue medications
• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting and meals
• Supporting ambulatory and wheelchair-dependent students with necessary care
• Escorting one student on the bus and managing care during transport (hours approx. 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; pick-up times TBD)
• Maintaining detailed records of student health status and interventions

Qualifications:

• Current Virginia LPN license is required
• Experience in seizure management and providing care for students with complex medical needs preferred
• Ability to work independently in a one-on-one setting with students
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Work Schedule:

• Onsite full-time, Monday through Friday
• Typical school hours from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with some adjustments based on student transport times
