A licensed practical nurse (LPN) position is available within a K-12 school setting in Allentown, PA, for the current school year on a contract basis. This role involves providing nursing support primarily in a physically active environment with responsibilities that include ensuring safety for both students and staff during escalated situations. The position requires experience in managing behavior challenges, assisting with toileting, and care involving tracheostomy patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students, either one-on-one or in a classroom setting.
• Monitor and support students with complex medical and behavioral needs.
• Maintain safety and manage escalation interventions professionally.
• Assist with medical procedures such as tracheostomy care and toileting.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student health and well-being.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid LPN license.
• Experience working with school-age children ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Comfort and skill in managing behaviors and physical care needs.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, sometimes physically demanding environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
