This position is for a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide dedicated, onsite nursing care in a middle school setting located in Alexandria, VA. This contract role begins as soon as possible and continues through June 15, 2026, with a typical schedule from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and providing seizure first aid and administering seizure rescue medication for a high school female student.
• Assisting a student who ambulates independently but requires help with distance, toileting, and meals.
• Accompanying the student on the bus (approximate hours 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; pick-up times to be determined).
• Providing care for another high school student who is wheelchair dependent and requires assistance with all activities of daily living (ADLs), oral feedings (with choking risk), and seizure management (no bus transportation necessary).

Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia LPN license is required.
• Experience in school nursing or related pediatric nursing care, particularly seizure monitoring and management.
• Ability to work independently in a 1:1 onsite setting to provide compassionate, attentive care.
