Inspire and shape young minds as a dedicated General Education Teacher for a second-grade classroom in a thriving elementary school community. This contract position supports a well-established educational environment with a manageable class size of 19 students, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on each child's learning journey for the remainder of the school year.
Key Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid teaching certification for elementary grades
- Demonstrated experience as a lead teacher in general education settings
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to cultivate a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning atmosphere
- Familiarity with current curriculum standards and technology integration in the classroom
- Passion for working with young learners and fostering academic and social growth
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily instruction across all elementary subjects to a classroom of second graders
- Develop lesson plans and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
- Create a welcoming, structured classroom climate that encourages curiosity and participation
- Assess student progress, provide timely feedback, and support individual learning goals
- Collaborate with staff and parents to ensure a successful and well-rounded educational experience
- Uphold all school policies and contribute to a positive school culture
This role features a schedule of 8:35 AM to 3:35 PM, Monday through Friday, with a half hour unpaid lunch each day, totaling 32.5 hours weekly.
