Make a difference in the educational journey of middle schoolers as a dedicated educator for a full-time, contract position in the West Chester, PA area. This onsite opportunity focuses on teaching general education math classes, with a caseload primarily composed of general education students. While occasional collaboration with special education colleagues may be necessary, all SPED students will have assigned support. The position runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with a 35-hour workweek and set hours from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Pennsylvania teaching certification/licensure appropriate for the caseload required
- Bachelor's degree necessary (for emergency teaching permit eligibility)
- Prior experience teaching in a school setting
- Proven classroom leadership and strong behavior management skills
- Familiarity with urban school environments and comfort within a diverse community
- Ability to craft engaging, standards-driven lesson plans using formative assessment and differentiated instruction
- Demonstrated mastery of subject matter and effective teaching methodology
- Must be able to secure all required Pennsylvania clearances
- Reliable transportation for daily onsite attendance
- Strict adherence to the established work schedule; schedule accommodations cannot be provided
Responsibilities:
- Deliver middle school math instruction to general education students, following district and state standards

- Create thorough, clear lesson plans and instructional materials
