Step into a rewarding environment as a full-time General Education High School Math Teacher for a contract term spanning August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027. This opportunity offers two available positions, each with a 35-hour work week onsite, providing consistent hours from 8:30AM to 4PM. You'll work directly with general education students, with occasional collaboration with special education teams to ensure all learners are supported.
Your role will focus on delivering high-quality math instruction, creating dynamic lesson plans aligned with state and district standards, and utilizing formative assessments to guide student learning. The caseload consists primarily of general education students in a high school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Active certification or licensure suitable for the assigned caseload
- Bachelors degree (required for eligibility for an emergency teaching permit)
- Proven experience in a school-based setting, preferably within an urban environment
- Mastery of high school math subject matter with strong classroom and behavioral management skills
- Experienced in lesson planning, differentiated instruction, and formative assessment
- Able to complete all necessary PA clearances prior to the start date
- Reliable transportation required; punctuality and daily onsite presence are essential
- Comfort and adaptability within district expectations and specific school location
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging math lessons for high school students
- Assess and differentiate instruction to meet varying student needs
- Collaborate with SPED teachers as needed for mixed caseloads
- Maintain clear communication with colleagues and administration
- Uphold school policies, fostering a positive learning environment
