This full-time, onsite contract role places you at the heart of fostering creativity and artistic growth in students, within one of several locations in the Bath, Hornell, or Jasper-Troupsburg areas. Make a real impact by guiding young learners in exploring a variety of artistic mediums and techniques in a General Education environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid NY State Visual Arts Initial Certificate is required.
• Background as a General Education Teacher, with a focus on visual arts or related subject preferred.
• Ability to inspire and manage a diverse classroom, creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Strong communication skills with students, staff, and caregivers.
• Eagerness to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, standards-based art instruction to students as part of the general education curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans that foster artistic skills, critical thinking, and appreciation for the visual arts.
• Encourage student expression through a broad spectrum of artistic mediums and projects.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate visual arts across subject areas when possible.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom space conducive to creativity.
