Step into an influential role shaping young minds as an onsite General Education ELA Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This full-time contract position is ideal for educators passionate about fostering literacy and language arts in a supportive school environment. Youll deliver engaging ELA instruction, help students improve their reading and writing proficiency, and collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and productive classroom atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Louisiana Teaching License or Certificate, with all required endorsements for General Education ELA instruction
• Previous experience teaching ELA or general education subjects preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students
• Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning needs
• Committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and academically challenging classroom

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction in English Language Arts to general education students
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student learning goals
• Assess student progress and provide regular feedback
• Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to support student achievement
• Maintain open communication with students families regarding academic progress and classroom activities
• Uphold school policies and promote positive student behavior

Additional Details:

• Contract dates: August 6, 2026, through May 25, 2027
• 37.5 hours per week, onsite only
