Take on a rewarding, full-time role empowering students in a vibrant K-8 setting as a dedicated General Education Teacher. This contract opportunity spans 35 hours per week, starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 10, 2027. Located onsite in a supportive, diverse school community near Upper Darby, PA, youll work with students in a building that serves both emotional support and autistic support programs.

Your expertise in general education will guide students of varying backgrounds and abilities, including those with special needs. Youll design and deliver effective lessons aligned with state, district, and course standardsprioritizing assessment, differentiation, and mastery of academic content. The ideal candidate brings both a strong presence in the classroom and a passion for developing student potential in an urban setting.

Qualifications:

• Active teaching certification/licensure appropriate for K-8 caseload, or a bachelors degree to qualify for an emergency teaching permit
• Proven background in working with students with diverse learning needs, including special needs
• Prior experience in urban school environments
• Demonstrated classroom management and student engagement skills
• Mastery of subject matter and ability to utilize a variety of instructional resources
• Familiarity with emotional and autistic support programming
• Ability to complete all Pennsylvania clearances
• Reliable transportation required
• Comfort with onsite district policies and procedures
• Availability between 8:30 AM4:00 PM (flexibility around hours is not available)
