Step into a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact in the world of education! This full-time, onsite position is designed for dedicated teaching professionals who are passionate about high school math. With a contract running from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, you'll join a dynamic school environment and support a caseload composed entirely of general education students, with additional access to SPED staff for any students with special needs. There are two openings, each offering 35 hours per week in a vibrant, urban school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Active teaching certification/licensure required for assigned caseloads
- Bachelors degree (required for emergency teaching permit eligibility)
- Previous school-based teaching experience necessary
- Proficient in classroom and behavioral management, particularly in urban settings
- Demonstrated mastery of high school-level math and related instructional strategies
- Ability to craft engaging lesson plans that align with state and district standards, employing differentiation and formative assessment
- Capable of successfully completing all Pennsylvania required clearances
- Comfortable working onsite, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM (no scheduling exceptions)
- Must possess reliable transportation
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, standards-aligned math instruction to high school students
- Develop and implement lesson plans using a variety of instructional resources and techniques
- Collaborate with SPED teachers as needed to ensure all learners are supported
- Foster a productive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
- Participate in professional development and school initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt instruction as required
