Inspire the next generation of learners as an English Language Arts educator in a vibrant school community for the 2026-2027 academic year. As a General Education Teacher specializing in ELA, you'll empower students to unlock their potential and foster a lifelong love for reading and writing. This contract opportunity runs from August 6, 2026, through May 25, 2027, and is a fully onsite role engaging with students and faculty in person.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate with required endorsements
- Previous experience teaching English Language Arts at the elementary, middle, or high school level preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement engaging lesson plans
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration with colleagues
Responsibilities:
- Deliver ELA instruction aligned with state standards and school curriculum
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve academic success and develop critical thinking skills
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs within the classroom
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational records
- Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and families to support student achievement
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience
- Fulfill all duties of a General Education Teacher, including participation in faculty meetings and professional development activities
