Job Description

This contract opportunity allows you to focus on all core subjects, guiding students through a key stage in their academic and personal growth. You'll have the chance to work closely with one school and become a meaningful part of its community from late July through the end of the school year.
Qualifications:
- Certified to teach General Education in Arizona (Gen Ed - IVP required)
- Experience or enthusiasm for teaching middle school students, ideally 6th grade
- Strong ability to develop engaging lessons spanning a variety of subjects
- Flexible and adaptive approach to diverse classroom needs
- Effective classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-structured instruction across all core content areas to a 6th-grade classroom
- Develop lesson plans that engage students and accommodate different learning styles
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction as needed
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to district policies and procedures
