Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a PK-12th grade arts endorsement
  • Background in general education and experience teaching visual and performing arts
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement curriculum across multiple grade levels
  • Collaborative spirit and a commitment to fostering student achievement and well-being

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in both visual and performing arts
  • Assess student work, track progress, and provide constructive feedback
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages artistic expression
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional learning communities
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and upcoming events
