Step into a dynamic high school environment as a full-time general education classroom leader, working with a dedicated team to foster student growth in mathematics. This contract position, located onsite near Philadelphia, PA, offers two openings with a 35-hour workweek. The role begins as soon as possible and continues through June 10, 2027, supporting a high school math caseload focused primarily on general education students, with the possibility of some interaction with special education students supported by SPED professionals.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Active certification or licensure appropriate for a general education high school math caseload
- Bachelors degree required (needed for an emergency teaching permit)
- School-based teaching experience is essential, particularly in urban settings
- Proficiency in subject matter, curriculum design, and instructional delivery
- Strong behavioral and classroom management skills
- Ability to create engaging, standards-driven lesson plans with differentiated instruction
- Skilled in formative assessments to guide and adjust teaching
- Comfortable in diverse district and location environments
- Completion of all Pennsylvania clearances prior to start
- Reliable transportation is necessary
- Ability to work onsite from 8:30 AM4:00 PM; schedule accommodations are not available
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in mathematics to high school general education students
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district standards
- Collaborate with colleagues and SPED teachers to support all learners
- Maintain clear communication with students, parents, and school staff
