Job Description

This full-time position offers 35 hours weekly, with a schedule aligned to the school calendarMonday through Friday, 7 hours daily plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Beginning as soon as possible and continuing through May 27, 2027, youll play a crucial role in helping diverse learners thrive. Assignment locations and caseload details will be determined to best match your expertise and the districts needs.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold an active Louisiana Department of Education Teaching Certificate (Louisiana DOE Cert)
  • ESL teaching experience or General Education classroom experience strongly preferred
  • TAT (Temporary Authority to Teach) certificates cannot be accepted for this position
  • Ability to successfully pass district drug screening and fingerprint background checks
  • Dedication to fostering engaging, supportive learning environments

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver dynamic, standards-based instruction to elementary or secondary students (specific age groups/caseload to be assigned)
  • Develop and adapt lessons to support English language learners and diverse academic needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administrators for student success
  • Maintain accurate records and participation in school or district meetings as needed
