This contract position runs through the end of the 2026-2027 school year, with a full-time schedule based on the academic calendar. What Were Looking For:

• Active Louisiana DOE teaching certification required (Temporary Authority to Teach and Teaching Authorization are not accepted)
• Proven experience teaching high school-level mathematics in a general education setting
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to foster a respectful, collaborative learning environment
• All candidates must be able to complete drug screening and fingerprint background checks as part of the credentialing process
• Ready to start as soon as possible and fully credentialed in Louisiana

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging math instruction to high school students, following the provided curriculum and adapting lessons to meet diverse learners needs
• Utilize various teaching techniques and resources to ensure understanding and growth
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to aid their academic development
• Collaborate with other educators, staff, and families to support a positive school culture
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assignments, and grades
• Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school events as required

The Role in a Nutshell:

• Full-time, Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week with a 30-minute lunch break (unpaid)
• Assignment details, including number of schools and exact caseload, will be determined upon placement
• Start date is as soon as possible, running through May 27, 2027
