Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled EL Teacher seeking a contract position for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is ideal for a committed educator prepared to work onsite and support student growth in general education, English Language Arts, and related curriculum areas.

Your primary focus will be fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students. You will deliver engaging ELA instruction, promote language acquisition, and help students overcome academic challenges while collaborating closely with school staff. This position is for a single opening with full-time hours.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current and active Louisiana Teaching License/Certificate with required endorsements
  • Proven background in general education teaching, with an emphasis on ELA and language instruction
  • Experience in elementary or secondary school settings preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
  • Ability to work onsite throughout the entire contract period

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans for ELA and general education students
  • Monitor and assess student progress while tailoring instruction to individual needs
  • Employ a variety of instructional techniques to support English learners
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement
  • Partner with faculty, administration, and families to promote student success
