Job Description
Make an impact as a full-time English Language Arts educator for grades 5-8 with a contract assignment conveniently located near Minneapolis, MN. This is an excellent opportunity to foster growth in young learners throughout the academic year, from August 31st to June 11th. Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience teaching General Education ELA in a middle school setting preferred
- Hold an active Tier 3 or 4 teaching license (or be eligible)
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment
- Ability to adapt and differentiate instruction to support all learners
- Ready to collaborate with colleagues and families to support student achievement
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, standards-based ELA instruction to students in grades 5-8
- Assess student progress and tailor teaching strategies to individual needs
- Utilize diverse texts and resources to enrich the curriculum and promote literacy
- Maintain open, proactive communication with families regarding student growth
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and required school activities
- Provide timely feedback, grading, and academic support for students
