Job Description
This full-time position offers the opportunity to support high school students in an onsite setting with a focus on general education within the English subject area. Serving as a School Social Worker, you will work closely with students aged 14-18, addressing their academic and socio-emotional needs to promote a positive and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide social work services to high school students, supporting their academic progress and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement effective strategies for student success
- Address individual and group counseling needs, including crisis intervention and behavioral support
- Promote a safe and inclusive school culture that fosters student engagement and growth
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to confidentiality guidelines
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid LA DOE License in Social Work or related discipline
- Experience working with high school-aged students in educational settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students and staff
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
