Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A valid Connecticut teaching certificate with TESOL or bilingual education endorsement
  • Required education, preparation, and exam credentials aligned with state certification
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, especially English language learners
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for supporting the academic and social success of middle school students

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering engaging ELL instruction tailored to students language development needs
  • Collaborating with educational staff to create inclusive lesson plans
  • Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed
  • Maintaining accurate documentation according to school and state requirements
